In an unincorporated area of Indiana called Salem, night is especially quiet. It is said to be because the area was a sundown town until 1898. A sundown town is a community in the United States that historically excluded African Americans and other non-white individuals from living there, especially after dark, often through intimidation or violence. The term comes from signs that warned non-whites to leave before sunset, reflecting a legacy of racial segregation and discrimination. The ghosts of some of the locals and their victims are reported to haunt the cornfields and the town.

I have to admit, I'm a picky client. I saw James Polk during my consultation visit and he couldn't be scarier. My hair is gray now, it used to be brown, but it looks amazing and I felt frightened! Thanks for the best scare I've had.
I also love the St. Agnes Orphanage concepts. I usually don't find children scary, unless I have to raise them. I recommend HPH to all my friends! I love their products!

Extreme thrill. Would definitely do this haunt again. It's a walk through a hospital with scary as hell zombie/ghost actors throughout it that runs for a good amount of time. Be prepared for big time thrills.

Lake Alicia Psychiatric Hospital has been closed since 1978 due to the abhorrent behavior of its staff. The inmates were subjected to bizarre treatments and out and out torture as a cure for their illnesses.
This dilapidated asylum has been set for demolition since 1986, but for some reason it never happens. At first, the equipment wouldn't work. Then the explosives wouldn't discharge and on and on. The construction companies who've been contracted have all had to walk away because it is extremely haunted.
Orange Grove Hospital, founded in 1956 was once a jail. Five prisoners were hanged in the jail, their bodies buried on the grounds in an upright position. Some believe this position prevents their spirits from finding eternal rest. At one time, the hospital, though considered cutting edge suffered from strange happenings about 10 years after its conversion from a jail. It abruptly closed in 1990 when in an unprecedented event, staff and patients killed each other for no apparent reason. It is rumored that the prisoners' bodies that were buried on the grounds possessed both staff and patient that fateful night.
Other ghostly sightings include an apparition of a nurse in a white uniform that roams the hospital. She died in 1956 in a malfunctioning elevator from a broken neck. The ghost, known as Nurse Karen, mostly haunts the maternity wing, and some say they see her watching people when they enter. Witnesses see her wandering the facility.
Since Orange Grove's closure and abandonment, there have been 16 deaths reported as urban explorers wandering the defunct hospital wind up violently killed, all of them having their necks broken in bizarre accidents.
Many visitors report hearing disembodied crying and moaning. People also claim to hear phantom footsteps and banging on the walls. Some visitors have complained of having sudden pains or the sensation of being touched and getting scratches and deep cuts when they enter the surgery wing.
Formerly named Westerly State Penitentiary, the hospital is located in the defunct rural town had its prison opening in 1865 and remained in use until it was closed in 1946. The imposing complex has 7 buildings. Once, it served up to 900 prisoners each year.
